Originally, the property was a part of the vast Tuscan holdings of the noble Vivarelli Colonna family. The property boasted a great villa of severe elegance, which, however, contained a wealth of marvellous decorations, especially frescoes. Unfortunately, this beautiful villa was completely destroyed during the second world war.
At the end of the 1700s the farm was purchased by the neighbouring Giacomelli family and became part of their extensive agricultural property.
The farm is in Tuscany , one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, known worldwide for its artistic heritage, its history and its charming landscape; traces of many civilisations are seen everywhere in its ancient cities. The farm is near the hills of ancient Pistoia, a romanic town rich in important monuments. The property extends for twenty hectares; approximately four hectares are vineyards located in the magical area of CHIANTI, famous for its red wines. Moreover, the farm also produces an excellent white wine IGT (Typical Geographic Indication). This wine is always been produced in limited quantities in order to ensure the highest quality.
